Kitch-en Gallery hit London again
September 5, 2010Live Art with Kitch-en Gallery
July 21, 2010I hit the big smoke in collab with Kitch-en Gallery on Sunday to perform some live art antics at Lockside Lounge, Camden. Full event details below…
It was an awesome day had by all, fantastic sunny weather, great artwork by all the artists involved and just good vibes all round with some funktastic beats keeping the body grooving all day long.
I took the opportunity to go in a completely new direction with my artwork after the venue expressed an interest in works along the theme of ‘Tropical Birds’.
It was great to step away from my typical monster/character style stuff and very rewarding since the Venue chose my artwork as one of the favourites to keep and put on permanent display in the bar… so if you’re about the area go check it out sometime soon.
Some rough pics of the day below… better pics to follow soon once all have been processed and sorted.

Kitch-en Gallery Relaunch
March 18, 2010
Artwork by Sune in the Kitch-en Gallery window display
I’ve been involved quite a bit with the relaunch of Kitch-en Gallery.
From a design perspective I took charge of all publicity and promo material. Business cards to flyers, posters to website. Everything was redesigned from scratch, bar the Black Teapot Logo, to tie in with their all new line-up of artists and relaunch event.
From an artistic perspective I had a couple of brand spanking new originals on show in the exhbition.
The big Relaunch took place in Newcastle City Centre on March 4th.
There was a fantastic exhibition of artwork on show from big names and emerging artists from around the UK. I can proudly say that I was part of that exhibition.
The preview night was one of the best I’ve ever been to. From 6pm the whole space was flooded with people of all ages. The vibe was funked up by the groovy beats and basslines provided by Mudfoot Blaps and the booze was flowing freely thanks to Alvinos Bar. The interactive tag wall received much attention through the night and ended up becoming an abstract piece of art in itself. Then came the real surprise – The Bad Taste Cru performed live inside the gallery, doing a half our set of body popping, head spinning breakdancing madness that was just purely awesome to observe so close-up.
Overall the whole relaunch, from design, production, curation, exhibition and organisation was a massive success and I really look forward to seeing what comes from Kitch-en Gallery in the future.
Check out my new pieces of artwork available to buy online now.
Public Apology
March 18, 2010Please accept this apology for my serious lack of updates on my blog.
Mr Smileyman got abducted by an alien being from the jellybobgrib universe and held him to ransom for 5 official jellybelly jellybeans of the most rarest flavours. It took me a million mollyzib hours to find all the flavours they requested but eventually I got them all and they handed Mr Smileyman back over to me. Now he is safe and tucked up in bed recovering so I can get back to writing stuff on here.*

*This is not a true story, but it sounds much better than “I’ve been a bit lazy in keeping you all updated with my goings on”

Random Story (Text Comic) episode 15
June 21, 2009So…. if all the butter melts and the leaves stay green forever what does that mean for the future of carpets? will they still be around in a hundred years or is the humble ant going to be the next big mac? think about it and then carry on with your breathing.
Peace, Love and sandals with socks on

Mistabishi’s Album – Drop
May 9, 2009Absolutely awesome music. Not just cos it’s drum n bass and I love most things drum n bass but this is purely musical brilliance. It’s like being in another world listening to it on my headphones. Will definitely be one of my all time fave albums.
Highly highly recommended to anyone with an appreciation for fine music.
